Dr. K. Anandan obtained his Ph.D. in Physics (Highly Commended) from Presidency College, University of Madras, in 2015. He completed his M.Sc. (2008) and B.Sc. (2006) in Physics from the same university with First Class. His areas of expertise include Materials Science, Nanomaterials, and Wastewater Treatment, with special emphasis on the design, synthesis, and optimization of functional nanomaterials for environmental remediation and optoelectronic applications. With over 16 years of research experience and a decade of teaching, Dr. Anandan has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in reputed international journals, achieving a cumulative impact factor above 85, over 1,240 citations, an h-index of 17, and an i10-index of 23. He has executed three AMET University Seed Money Projects as Principal Investigator and a DST-funded project as Co-Principal Investigator, focusing on solar-driven photocatalysis and sustainable nanocomposites. He has authored two books and three book chapters with Taylor & Francis and holds two published patents. Currently serving as Head of the Department, he actively promotes academic leadership, interdisciplinary research, and innovation-driven teaching. His contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the Wiley Best Poster Award (ICONN-2025) and the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Best Teacher Award.
